The project that offers to the public over 180 works by ArkhipKuindzhi, one of the most amazing 19th-century painters, is highly interesting and even enigmatic. Kuindzhi’s paintings are extraordinarily attractive due to his constant experiments with colours and light, to his innovative application of new paints and compositions and to his use of discoveries in physics and chemistry. His romantic landscapes featuring a magic play of shades and of light and shadow have a profound influence on the spectator’s perception and are considered truly philosophical.
