Festival «GEEK PICNIC»

Exhibition "The Russian revolution in children’s drawings"
The exhibition features about 150 drawings, executed by students of two Moscow high schools in 1917-1918. Unique photographs of the revolutionary Moscow, rare popular prints and posters of 1917 and eyewitness accounts enlarge the exhibition.

Polygon Fest 2017 in "YotaSpace" club

Bosco Fresh Fest Festival

39th Moscow International Film Festival
This is one of the oldest film festivals in the world, which is currently directed by Nikita Mikhalkov and film critic Kirill Razlogov. In the festival program there are films of Andrzej Wajda, Sofia Coppola, Kim Ki-Duk and others.

Exhibition "Hommage à Sakharov"
The Sakharov Center and the Sakharov Archives present an exhibition of original posters, playbills and medals dedicated to Andrei Sakharov. These are signs of deep respect and admiration that artists, musicians, public figures and ordinary people turned to Sakharov. They were created between 1970 and 2000.

Exhibition "Fairy world of Sergey Lakhonin's works not made by hands"
All paintings on this exhibition are made by Sergei Lakhonin with the help of a chin and a wooden stick. The exposition presents animalistic motifs, landscapes, still-lifes and portraits in the genre of computer graphics.

Villa Jazz Festival
Currently, Villa Jazz Festival is the largest all-Russian international open-air festival, which combines jazz, funk, world music, acid-jazz, lounge, jazz-rock, blues and other musical genres on its territory.

Musical "The Ball of Vampires" in Moscow Youth Palace

Confederations Cup FIFA
The eighth football tournament among the national teams will be in Russia. In Moscow, matches will take place at the Spartak Stadium («Otkritie Arena»). June 18 Cameroon and Chile are playing. June 21 - Russia and Portugal. June 25 - Chile and Australia. The play off for third place will be on July 2.

Park Live Festival

Festival of Symphonic and Wind Orchestra "Summer Waltz"

Festival "The Battle of a thousand swords. Ragnarok 2017"
This is a military historical festival, dedicated to the 9th-11th centuries, when the Old Russian state originated. A confrontation between the Russian prince and the king of Vikings will be shown to guests. The famous Norwegian folk band Wardruna will perform at the festival.

Midsummer Night’s Dream Party
This is an annual arts festival, a costume party and an interactive theater fantasy, based on William Shakespeare's famous play "A Midsummer Night's Dream", where every guest becomes a unique participant of the mystical action. The theme of this season is "Garden of Eden". The costume is a prerequisite for an entry.

J-FEST Summer 2017
The festival of Japanese culture will take place in the open air in front of the Garage museum. Visitors will be able to take part in master classes on calligraphy and tea ceremony, ikebana and bonsai, dances and martial arts: aikido, judo, karate and ninjutsu, and see performances by Japanese artists.

Sun Drums Fest

13th Chekhov International Theatre Festival
The festival takes place every two years in Moscow. The purpose of the festival is to expand constantly the audience, to make theatre to be loved and needed by people of different social strata. The programme is composed to be both public and elitist.

Russian Boxing Day
Russian Boxing Day will be held on Red Square. The visitors will see fights with the participation of Fedor Chudinov, Egor Mehontsev and Stanislav Kashtanov. In the main fight of the evening Michael Aloyan from Russia and Marvin Solano from Nicaragua will meet. Admission by ticket.

DTM Racing Championship 2017
On the circuit of Moscow Raceway (Volokolamsky district, Shelud'kovo village, 39) the German racing series of touring cars called Deutsche Tourenwagen Masters (DTM) will race. Archstoyanie Land Art Festival
This is the largest festival of land art and landscape art objects in Russia and Europe. The purpose of the festival is a development of modern architecture, including landscape architecture. The project generates a new approach to territorial development and offers the idea of interaction with landscape through creative practices and modern art.

Exhibition "Giorgio de Chirico. Metaphysical insights"
This is the first exhibition of works by an Italian painter, sculptor and stage designer in Russia. The exhibition demonstrates the classic "metaphysic" painting, interpretation of antiquity and mythological subjects, interest in the painting of old masters, and also theatrical costumes.

International Aviation and Space Salon MAKS
One of the world's largest aviation forums takes place every two years. The main objective of MAKS is to demonstrate achievements of Russian high tech in aerospace industry. The program of the air show traditionally includes aerobatic display by famous Russian and foreign aerobatic teams.

Natural History Lessons

Marilyn Manson's Concert
Marilyn Manson is at the same time the band name and the name of its frontman, vocalist and mastermind. The concert of the glam-rock star will take place on the stage of Stadium Live Club. Marilyn Manson will bring to the capital the tenth anniversary album and also will sing the best hits of different years.

Exhibition «#пушкинХХIвек» (Pushkin21thcentury)

Street Food Festival "Oh, yes! That's food!"

Exhibition "The Abandoned House: wonder-room of Moscow Pianos"
The exhibition of the Museum of Moscow and the "Piano Home" is dedicated to the Moscow piano life of the 19th - early 20th centuries. Visitors will see 30 grand pianos and 20 pianos, among which are the musical instruments of Leo Tolstoy from his estate in Yasnaya Polyana. The exhibition is dedicated to the history of homestead and greenhouse gardening in Russia of the 18th-19th centuries. The project "Military Bands in Parks"
Military bands will perform in Moscow parks and squares within the International Military Music Festival "Spasskaya Tower", continuing the tradition that existed before the revolution and in the early Soviet period. Well-known pieces will be performed.

The exposition presents the works of the most significant artists of the modernist style, including Claude Monet, Edgar Degas, Paul Gauguin, Gustav Klimt, Amedeo Modigliani, Vincent Van Gogh, Edward Munch and others.

International Fireworks Festival ROSTEC
At Brateevsky park visitors will enjoy unforgettable pyroshow by the best teams from Europe, Asia and Latin America. The program includes music concerts, high-tech shows, quests, lectures, arts and crafts market, historical food court etc. This year’s festival theme is Moscow on Seven Hills.

Festival "Organ evenings in Kuskovo"

Skolkovo Jazz Science Music Festival
This year the Skolkovo Innovation Center once again becomes a platform for immersion in the world of jazz and science. Exhibition "Aristarkh Lentulov’s Mystery Bouffe"
Aristarkh Lentulov is one of the main experimenters of the Russian avant-garde. The exhibition covers all the periods of the artist’s creative life and becomes the most representative display of his works made for the last 30 years. In addition to painting, the exhibition shows set and costume designs, models for performances.

Exhibition "Space Medicine in Space and on Earth"
The exhibition presents unique medical equipment and medical complexes that were used for diagnostics and monitoring of astronauts' health during long-term flights. A separate section of the exhibition is dedicated to space technologies, which are now successfully used in health care.

Exhibition "New olds. Classics and innovations in design"
The exhibition will feature works by young designers from Germany, Russia and other countries. Moscow Design Museum provided the Russian part of the exposition, Goethe Institute and the Institute for Foreign Cultural Relations arranged the German one.

Exhibition «Feodor Chaliapin. In search of a character»
The Memorial Estate of Feodor Chaliapin presents unique musical editions of operas, in which Chaliapin performed brilliantly. The selected rare editions abound with seals of music houses, shops and private libraries, dedications, unique illustrations.

Kurban Bayram
Traditionally in Moscow, the Kurban Bayram celebration is held in mosques and on specially designated venues in different districts of the city. Believers eat meat and dispense it as charity and treat.

UFO Hang Festival in RED club

Military Music Festival "Spasskaya Tower"
The festival "Spasskaya Tower" is the brightest music spectacular show with a military band parades, laser and pyrotechnical effects. In 2017 Mireille Mathieu will be a special guest of the festival. She will arrive together with the French Foreign Legion band on the City Day.

The Day of Borodino
Thousands of people come here first Sunday of September to celebrate the anniversary of the Battle of Borodino. The holiday culmination is the military historical reenactment of some episodes from the Battle of Borodino. "Russian" and "French" armies will converge in battle.

Exhibition "For our friends"
The exhibition covers the entire period of the war for the liberation of Bulgaria. There are unique memorial monuments, autographs, graphic and sculpture portraits of war heroes, uniforms, fighting weapons of Russian and Turkish armies, national clothes of the Balkan peoples, maps and awards.

Brass Band Festival
At the new open-air stage "The VDNH Green Theatre. A stage on the water " 3rd Brass Band Festival will be held. This summer the best brass bands from different parts of the world will play classics, jazz, funk, soul and popular music. The festival will end with a great gala concert on Moscow City Day.

Zaryadye Park Opening
The new park "Zaryadye" is a large-scale landscape project near the Kremlin. Four landscape archetypes will be created in the park, and its main advantage will be a view of old Moscow. Several new attractions are planned on the territory of Zaryadye - a hovering bridge, a new philharmonic hall, a pavilion simulating an ice cave.

Festival "Theatre March"
This is the largest Russian open air theatre festival. This year the best Moscow theatres will present their performances: The Stanislavsky and Nemirovich-Danchenko Music Theatre, Meyerhold Center, The Theatre Ballet Moscow, Praktika Theatre, School of Dramatic Art, Taganka Theatre, School of Modern Play and many others.

Moscow's Anniversary Festival
The festival celebrating the 870th Moscow anniversary will be held at 40 venues of the city, its slogan will be "Moscow is the city where history is created". Moscow will be decorated in the style of the Russian avant-garde, which formed the basis for the concept of celebration due to the fact that it made a great contribution to the world art.

Exhibition «Antonio Gaudi. Barcelona»
The large-scale exhibition of Antonio Gaudi presents more than 150 unique exhibits, including drawings, plans, furniture, decorative elements and models of famous buildings. Each week guided tours are organized.

Moscow Music Week
This is a music showcase festival, at which young and yet little-known bands will be able to present themselves. Musicians will play not only for the public, but also for members of the producer centers and record companies who will attend the event. Figure skating exhibition gala "Magic on ice"
On September 15, at the Megasport Sport Palace on the Khodynka Field, a bright ice show of the top figure skaters of Moscow and Russia "Magic on ice" will take place. Among the participants there are Evgeny Medvedev, Adelina Sotnikova, Evgenia Tarasova and Vladimir Morozov, Ksenia Stolbova and Fedor Klimov, as well as many others.

Viktor Vasnetsov's Landscapes
The exhibition is dedicated to the landscape as an independent genre in the works of Viktor Mikhailovich Vasnetsov, one of the most famous Russian artists of the second half of the 19th - beginning of the 20th century. The art show will be featuring large landscape works and graphic studies, most of which will be on display for the first time.

World Festival of Circus Art IDOL-2017
On the arena of the great Moscow circus all sides of modern circus art will be presented. Russia, China, Spain, Britain and other countries will take part. The audience will see a real show: beautiful, dangerous, dramatic, funny, but completely different and record-breaking circus acts.

"Life as a day. Leo Tolstoy in the photographic lens of history"
The exhibition presents photographs, manuscripts and books on the main activity of L. Tolstoy between 1880 and 1910. Visitors will be able to learn about the writer's daily routine, to which he strictly subordinated his everyday life after profound changes in his worldview.

Tanks vs Bigfoots
In the Master Panin Adventure Park there will be an incredible spectacular show in which the legendary Russian tanks will meet in a battle with American bigfoots. As a bonus viewers will see the performances of freestyle motocross riders.

Underwater photography festival "Wild underwater world"
The main idea of the festival is to present the amazing beauty of the underwater world and its creatures. More than fifty underwater photographers from around the world have provided 100 new underwater photographs taken in different seas, oceans and lakes of our planet.

10 World Championship of Sand Sculpture
Within one week from 22 to 28 April, talented famous craftsmen from Russia and other countries will create their sand sculptures on the theme "The world around us". Visitors can see them until the end of September. The festival is dedicated to the Year of Ecology in Russia.

Russian Challenge 4 Tournament
Russian Challenge Promotion Company will host the 4th international tournament on professional kickboxing and Thai boxing. Before the spectators the strongest Russian and foreign fighters will face off in the tough duels.

Performance "May Night"
This performance is a bold creative experiment. The bravest spectators "look" it with a blindfold and plunge into action with the help of hearing, senses of smell, touch and taste. The original idea of the performance "May Night" is a change in the perception of space and time.

Festival "The Circle of Light"
This is an annual event at which lighting designers and specialists in audiovisual art reinvent the architectural scene of Moscow by using video mapping. The opening ceremony will be held in Ostankino. The Theater Square, Tsaritsyno Park, Patriarch’s Ponds, Strogino and others will be the venues of the festival.

Exhibition "Treasures of the secret Himalayan Kingdoms"
The Museum of Oriental Art presents an exhibition coinciding with the anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations with India and Nepal. In the first section oriental clothes, rare art objects and documents of such important personalities as Roerich and his family are collected. The second section is dedicated to the monuments of the Himalayan region and its cultural heritage.

«Prince Igor» opera
This is an example of a Russian monumental epic opera. It is difficult to imagine the history of Russian music without it. The opera was composed by A.P. Borodin, who took as a basis the monument of Old Russian literature "The Song of Igor's Campaign". Stage director of the production was Yury Lyubimov.

"Works of Charles and Horace Vernet. Battle and genre scenes"
Graphic works and pieces of art of Charles and Horace Vernet are exhibited in the Museum of the Patriotic War of 1812. Visitors will be able to imagine vividly pictures of the terrible and brilliant time of Napoleonic wars.

Sky Park
The Sky Park is both an observatory and an open-air museum. Here is a unique collection that includes a sundial, arcs of celestial spheres, an Indian winged staircase to the sky Samrat Yantra, a stone ring of Stonehenge, a pyramid of Khufu (Cheops) and much more. Observations are conducted in fine weather.

"Drums in the Night" Performance

Concert of Depeche Mode
Musicians decided to visit the capital again in the context of the "Global Spirit Tour". It is dedicated to the new album released in 2017, "Spirit", which by various estimates became the best album of "Depeche Mode". The performance will be held in the Olympic Stadium.

Antonio Vivaldi Winter Festival
The Kuskovo Estate invites you to a concert dedicated to the music of Antonio Vivaldi. Legendary music will be performed by the chamber ensemble Violini di Maestro conducted by Alexander Chernov. During intermission the audience will be able to see the exhibition of the "Portrait Gallery" in the Big Stone Greenhouse.

Opera "Billy Budd"
The opera based on Melville's story is performed in English. It is the story of sailor Billy – beautiful, young, irradiating goodness man. Another hero – Claggart hates him accusing of mutiny. What is most remarkable is that the opera is performed only by male voices.

Exhibition "Carved bone of the 18th-19th centuries"

Golden Mask Festival
