Chinese learnedness is a cultural phenomenon related to one of the most distinguished periods in Chinese history, the rule of the Ming Dynasty. Everything that contributed the development of learnedness in China – philosophy, music, literature and visual arts – flourished in the Middle Kingdom from 1368 through 1644. Exhibits that are on view for the first time in Russia introduce visitors to the intellectual and esthetic world of educated medieval Chinese.© 2016-2019 moscovery.com
